Today, in Stockholm, Anna Diamantopoulou presented to the Council of Ministers the report of the “Committee of Wise Men” on the future of the Welfare State, as its President.
The report will be a priority in the two upcoming Presidencies, Spanish and Belgian.
Here is AD’s post:
The Report on the Future of the Welfare State which I presented today to the Council of Ministers received a response from all 27 member states (thanks to Panos Tsakloglou) and will be a priority of the next two Presidencies.
The organization of the Swedish Presidency is excellent with a strong presence of the social partners and their achievements.
Three Ministers are responsible for Labor and Social Policy and I must say that the Right-Wing Swedes are a special case.
Each country during its Presidency shows off the sights – Sweden shows off the collective achievements.
