DIKTIO participated as a program partner at the Delphi Economic Forum IV, took place in Delphi, Central Greece, 28/2-3/3 2019 and organized two panels. The second Panel had its theme the «The Future of Liberal Democracy». Participants were Sandro Gozi, former Italian Minister of European Affairs, Aristides Hatzis, Professor of Philosophy Athens University and Steven Erlanger, New York Times diplomatic correspondent. Dr. Marili Mexi DIKTIO’s Director chaired the Session.
The discussion focused on issues of democracy functioning in European countries, in current policy issues such as migration, technological developments, economic crisis, the inequalities gap and how multiple factors converge in creating the alternative model led by populist and authoritarian leaders as we see in China, Russia etc.
