Marily Mexi holds a Doctorate degree (DPhil) in Politics and International Relations from the University of Oxford (St. Anne’s College), an MPhil in Political Theory from the University of Oxford (St. Hugh's College), an MSc in European Social Policy with Distinction from the London School of Economics, and a BA in History with High Distinction from the American College of Greece – Deree College. She has also completed post-doctoral research at the Department of Politics and International Relations of the University of Geneva. Dr Mexi is Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Politics and International Relations of the University of Geneva, and Research Consultant at the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development in Geneva. She is currently co-leading three transnational, interdisciplinary teams conducting research on the future of work, social and solidarity economy, migration and labour market inclusion. Her professional experience has been gained in employment/social policy and social research. It includes advisory work for state authorities in several countries (Croatia, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, and the Caribbean Community) and international organisations (ILO), oriented towards the harmonization of national policy and governance tools with EU and UN frameworks.
